HDPE Telecom Pipes

Aside from the usual pressurized and potable high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes manufactured by Atlanta Industries, Inc. for water application, the Company is also producing specialized HDPE communication duct pipe for telecom and fiber-optic applications. These pipes are neither pressurized nor potable. The product is intended for telecommunication application.

The Atlanta HDPE telecom prides itself for having high stress crack resistance and a coefficient of PVC has a higher tensile strength and 30% less friction strength. Fungi and germs, as well as caustic chemicals and aggressive soils, cannot penetrate it. It retains ductility while having a lower COF than PVC. Low working temperatures and a maximum operating temperature of 90 degrees are provided, both of which correspond to power line operating temperatures.
